One of the key priorities of the attendance officer is to follow up on N codes and find out where the student was so that the correct code can be assigned. There isn't any easy way to do this in iSAMS. The closest is the Specific Code Analysis report but that doesn't show the date of the absence. The report would be infinitely more useful if it showed the date and period of absence, ideally with the option to group by date. This is a small change that would make a big difference to our attendance officer.
Having a page devoted to finding N codes and unmarked registers would be even better, but the report change might be a quick fix.
Thank you for your suggestion. We have plans to review the search functions within the Registration Manager and so we will review your suggestion as part of this. No timeline has been confirmed as yet though.
In the meantime, I have spoken to the Reporting Services team and they have suggested the Teaching Group Reports > Attendance by Specific Code as an alternative report for your attendance officer to try, as this does show the date of the absence.
