In our timetable structure we have a 5 minute buffer between the end of one period and the start of the next. This is built in to allow pupils time to transition between lessons in different classrooms or parts of the school. It would be very helpful if teachers could start to mark their registration as soon as pupils arrive at the new lesson during this 5 minute buffer, rather than having to wait until the start time for that period. Which teachers claim wastes valuable teaching time.
I understand that it isn't possible to have overlapping registration times when they are Set based, however in this scenario the registration 'Before' time would not over lap the end of the preceding period end.
