It is possible to set up both present codes and absent codes. However, these codes are not visible in all parts of iSAMS. For example, you can view them against the pupil record in the Pupil Profiles module, but not on Pupil Quick view on the Wizard Bar. Likewise, you can view them on Period View within the registration module, but not on Day or Week View.
It would be great if all present codes were visible in all relevant areas of iSAMS.
