If the ability to bulk update pupil records exists, then there should also be an ability to bulk update contact records. Currently, schools have to painstakingly update contacts records individually which is very time consuming.
In case data entry has missed an update, a bulk update to standard fields like the parental responsibility boolean should set all fathers or mothers to yes, Country, postal code, Student Home Checkbox..etc
We can use Group Edit or Batch Edit to bulk update the student records, but it is not posible to use these features to update contacts fields. In many ocasions we need to change a field to all contacts, or just to several and it is very slow to enter and edit each of them individually. GOOD FEATURE!!
