Frequently when cover is required due to part of a year group being out on a trip, we may combine classes. We couldn’t find an obvious way of combining classes and notifying teachers that this has happened. We found that we could get the same member of staff to cover two classes, but we couldn’t select the same room twice, and we couldn't use a teacher that is already teaching a class.
It would be really useful if:
We could select a teacher that is already teaching a class for cover (perhaps a toggle somewhere to enable this function)
We could select a room that is already in use for cover (perhaps a toggle somewhere to enable this function)
We could could include the "Cover Notes" in the email to the covering / covered teachers to notify them that we are merging classes.
